The Statement of Faith of ITC is as follows: We believe…

• That the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, the only infallible, sufficient and inerrant rule of faith and practice to which nothing is to be added at any time, whether by supposed new revelations of the Spirit or traditions of men.
• That the Westminster Confession of Faith and Short and Large Catechisms, the Belgic Confession, the Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dort summarize and contain the system of doctrine taught in the Holy Scriptures.

• That the church is to be governed according to the principles of Presbyterian Church polity, which is agreeable to and taught by Scripture.

• The Adoption of ITC contemporary statements of doctrine

Any contemporary confession or doctrinal standard that the Voting Faculty and the Governing Council might adopt, to address any issues, must be consistent with this ITC Statement of Faith. This Statement of Faith will be adhered to in perpetuity. This Statement of Faith is excluded from any amendments to the By-Laws.
